KZN Inland suffered an innings loss to Northerns on day two of the latest round of CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup action, with Gauteng on the verge of a win over North West.
Gauteng stamped their dominance over North West at Senwes Park on Day one of their CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup encounter.
Nono Pongolo took six for 22 for Gauteng as they demolished Free State in the CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on Sunday. KZN-Inland had a comfortable win over Eastern Province, while South Western Districts squeezed home over Boland by nine runs.
Free State’s Raynard van Tonder scored a monumental 250 not out as all three matches in the latest round of CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup matches ended in draws.
Two centuries marked the first day’s action in the CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup, with Gauteng piling on the runs while Eastern Province battled against KZN Inland.
The big city teams all lost their clashes in Sunday’s round of CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge matches, with North West, Easterns and Northern Cape enjoying exciting wins.
Gauteng sneaked home by five runs over Easterns after a late rally left the Benoni Boys agonisingly short of a win, while North West and Western Province enjoyed comfortable home victories in the CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup.
