Proteas fast bowler Marco Jansen has attained a career-best position in the ICC Test bowling rankings.

Jansen’s second-innings haul of 6-52 against Pakistan in Centurion helped him move up to fifth, and past 800 rating points for the first time.

Another South African paceman, Dane Paterson, has moved up eight places to 46th after taking 5-61 in the first innings against Pakistan.

In the Test batting rankings, Proteas opener Aiden Markram’s Man of the Match effort of 89 and 37 in Centurion places him in 16th position after gaining eight places.
