Miller, Duminy deliver the goods

David Miller and JP Duminy were the pick of the South African batsmen in the latest edition of the IPL, a tournament where most of their countrymen struggled.

The Dolphins batsman scored 446 runs, while sustaining a healthy strike rate of 149.16. His Proteas teammate Duminy wasn’t far behind with 410 runs at an exceptional average, in this volatile format, of 51.25.

Proteas ODI skipper AB de Villiers gains a pass mark for his contribution, but the rest of South Africa’s representatives didn’t live up to expectations. Here are all the numbers:

JP Duminy: 14 matches, 410 runs, 67 not out high score, 51.25 average, 134.42 strike rate

AB de Villiers: 14 matches, 395 runs, 89 not out high score, 35.90 average, 158.42 strike rate

Quinton de Kock: 7 matches, 153 runs, 48 high score, 21.85 average, 117.69 strike rate

Jacques Kallis: 8 matches, 151 runs, 72 high score, 25.16 average, 117.05 strike rate

Albie Morkel: 7 matches, 45 runs, 16 high score, 15.0 average, 109.75 strike rate
