Sri Lanka won the Test, and the series, after a day of toil. Moeen Ali, in just his second Test, batted for 385 minutes, and remained unbeaten on 108 at the end, but could only watch on in despair as Anderson was beaten by a short ball.

Another great example of why Test cricket remains the premier format.
