RIP Con de Lange

South African-born Scottish international and former Cape Cobras spinner Con de Lange tragically died at the age of 38 on Friday morning.

De Lange, who also represented the Knights before playing for Scotland, was sidelined from professional cricket in 2017 after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The Cape Town-born De Lange played 13 ODIs and eight T20Is. He can famously be remembered for his five-wicket haul in a victory over Zimbabwe in June 2017. The five-for was against his highest-profile opposition. He also faced the likes of Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea.

Condolences go out to De Lange’s wife Claire and his two kids.
