AB de Villiers feels the crowds around England are generally more knowledgeable about the game of cricket than in most parts of the world, ‘including South Africa’.
The former Proteas captain marked his Thursday’s Middlesex debut with a characteristically brisk half-century in the victory over Essex at Lord’s in London.

Afterwards, he spoke about how crowds around the world differ, suggesting that fans in England had a superior knowledge of the game.
