NZ win T20I series against Bangladesh

New Zealand claimed another series win on Tuesday by wrapping up the second T20I  against Bangladesh with a 28-run victory, via the Duckworth Lewis Method.

The hosts batted first in Napier with Glenn Phillips taking on the role as the aggressor down the order before rain interrupted play.

Phillips finished with an unbeaten 58 as New Zealand posted 173-5 when their innings was brought to an early end by the drizzle.

The DLS calculation set Bangladesh a target of 170 to get from 16 overs. The visitors started well thanks to a half-century by Soumya Sarka but a couple of quick wickets troubled the required run rate, with them falling 28 runs short.

New Zealand will take an unassailable 2-0 lead into Thursday’s third and final T20I.
