Wiaan Mulder scored an unbeaten century and took another five-for to secure a draw for Leicestershire against Sussex in the English County Championship.

Mulder was the star for Leicestershire in their draw with Sussex, claiming first-innings figures of 5-63, before scoring 24 off 38 balls and then an unbeaten 102 off 167 to salvage a draw.

In a hard-fought clash, Derbyshire captain Leus du Plooy followed a first-innings 37 off 57 with an unbeaten 61 off 77 to rescue a draw against Gloucestershire.

Hampshire fast bowler Kyle Abbott picked up first-innings figures of 3-23 as his side’s clash with Kent ended in a draw.
In a hefty defeat to Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire’s Ricardo Vasconcelos top-scored with 62 off 179 balls in their first innings, while pace bowler Dane Paterson bagged two wickets for Nottinghamshire.
Matthew Montgomery scored a handy 34 runs off 58 balls during Nottinghamshire’s first innings.
Vasconcelos then fell for a duck in his side’s second effort with the bat as Paterson ripped through their lineup, taking 5-16, to secure an innings-and-25-run victory.

Middlesex’s nine-wicket loss to Surrey featured Pieter Malan, who scored 66 off 138 balls, and Stephen Eskinazi, who managed just 13 off 25, during Middlesex’s first innings.
Malan failed with the bat the second time around, scoring just one run, while Eskinazi improved slightly with 17 off 62 balls.
Lancashire’s draw with Somerset featured Dane Villas, with the Lancashire captain scoring 15 off 20 balls in their first innings.
Simon Harmer got off to a poor start with the bat and ball for Essex, scoring just three runs in his side’s first innings before going wicketless during Warwickshire’s reply. Harmer then made an unbeaten 50 off 79 balls before taking a wicket with his off-spin in Warwickshire’s second innings, but it wasn’t enough as Essex went down by four wickets.
