CSA may withdraw the EP Warriors’ R500,000 fine, half of which was suspended, for breaching the quota system during the One-Day Cup.
The Warriors were also docked five log points for only fielding two black Africans in their One-Day Cup win against the KZN Dolphins in Durban, which cost them a place in the playoffs.
According to Rapport, a mediation session with CSA on Thursday went well for the Warriors, and CSA may drop the fine.
EP Cricket president Donovan May would not confirm or deny this.
“CSA will issue a statement,” he said.
