Simon Harmer once again demonstrated his class as he claimed first- innings figures of 9-80 as Essex remained in complete control of a County Championship game against Derbyshire.
Harmer, who is regarded as one of the most widely respected cricketers on the England county circuit, was in a class of his own as he almost single-handedly dismissed Derbyshire for 146 in their first innings.
This stunning bowling display followed an imperious first-innings show from the Essex batsmen as they recorded 412-3 declared.
Following on, Derbyshire were 97-1.
