Former Proteas pace bowler Shabnim Ismail bowled the fastest ball ever recorded in women's cricket in the Women's Premier League on Tuesday.

Former Proteas pace bowler Shabnim Ismail bowled the fastest ball ever recorded in women’s cricket in the Women’s Premier League on Tuesday.

The second delivery of the 35-year-old’s third over for the Mumbai Indians against the against the Delhi Capitals was clocked at 132.1 km/h.

Ismail finished with figures of 1-46 in her four overs as the Capitals posted 192-4.

Mumbai were restricted to 163-8 and lost by 29 runs.
