Levi cleared after blow to head

Former Proteas batsman Richard Levi was taken to hospital after being struck on the head during a County Championship match on Sunday.

The incident occurred when Levi, playing for Northants, was struck by a delivery from Worcestershire’s Josh Tongue shortly before lunch on Day 3 of their County Championship match.

Levi received treatment on the pitch before he was taken to hospital by ambulance to undergo tests. An early lunch was called.

He has since taken to twitter to confirm that all is good.

Levi has played 13 T20 Internationals for South Africa with a best score of 117 against New Zealand in 2012.
