Malan, De Zorzi centuries put South Africa A in control

Pieter Malan and Tony de Zorzi hit hundreds for South Africa A on day one of the first four-day match in Bloemfontein.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, SA A lost two quick wickets with Sarel Erwee and Raynard van Tonder both dismissed for ducks.

But captain Malan (157*) and Tony de Zorzi (117) then shared a 217-run third-wicket stand to put the hosts in control.

South Africa A were 343-3 at stumps, with Jason Smith (51*) also at the crease.
