On Friday, spinner Roelof van der Merwe‘s 3-25 helped Somerset to an 80-run victory over Gloucestershire, while Durban-born Wayne Madsen, who previously represented the Dolphins, scored a run-a-ball 26 (two fours) in a three-wicket loss to Nottinghamshire.

Colin Ingram top-scored with 48 off 21 deliveries (five fours, three sixes) for Glamorgan, but it was in vain as they went down to Essex by 51 runs.

On Thursday, Joburg-born Eskinazi scored an unbeaten 94 off 62 balls (10 fours, one six) and Pieter Malan 36 off 29 (three fours, one six) for Middlesex as they suffered a narrow four-run loss to Sussex.

On Wednesday, Leus du Plooy top-scored for Derbyshire with an unbeaten 66 off 25 balls (four fours, five sixes) in a six-wicket victory over Birmingham.

George Linde made a handy 21 off 19 (one four, one six) with the bat and picked up a wicket with the ball for Kent in a four-wicket loss to Essex.

On Tuesday, Wiese delivered a Man of the Match performance for Yorkshire in a 30-run win over Leicestershire, scoring an unbeaten 50 off 32 deliveries (six fours, one six). Wiaan Mulder made 46 off 40 (five fours) in Leicestershire’s reply.
