Seifert shines as NZ smash Pakistan

Tim Seifert scored an unbeaten 84 as New Zealand beat Pakistan by nine wickets in the second T20I.

Pakistan batted first and scored 163/6 . Their innings was anchored by an excellent effort from Mohammad Hafeez, who fell one run short of a century off 57 deliveries (1o fours, 5 sixes).

However, Hafeez couldn’t find any partners who were nearly as potent as he, and as a result Pakistan’s total was around 20 runs short on a relatively tame wicket.

Tim Southee excelled with the ball, taking 4-21.

The Black Caps lost just one wicket before Seifert and Kane Willamson put on 129 for the second wicket. Seifert’s runs came off 63 deliveries (8 fours, 3 sixes), while Williamson (57*) hit 8 fours and a six in his 42-ball innings.
