1. Yuzvendra Chahal – 221 wickets (active)

Chahal leads the all-time list after spells with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals. A middle-overs specialist, he has multiple four-wicket hauls, including best figures of 5-40, and remains one of the most consistent wicket-takers in IPL history. Chahal currently plays for the Punjab Kings.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 201 wickets (active)

Bhuvneshwar has been central to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s success, including their 2016 title win. He claimed back-to-back Purple Caps in 2016 and 2017, with best figures of 5-19 highlighting his effectiveness in both powerplay and death overs.

3. Piyush Chawla – 192 wickets

Chawla’s longevity across Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians has kept him near the top. He won titles with Kolkata and contributed in multiple campaigns, with best figures of 4-17.

4. Sunil Narine – 189 wickets (active)

Narine played a central role in Kolkata’s 2012 and 2014 title wins. He was Player of the Tournament in 2012, with best figures of 5-19, and remains one of the most economical bowlers in IPL history.

5. Ravichandran Ashwin – 187 wickets

Ashwin has represented Chennai, Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan. Part of Chennai’s title-winning squads, he built his record through control and variation, with best figures of 4-34 and consistent middle-overs impact.

6. Dwayne Bravo – 183 wickets

Bravo was a key figure in Chennai Super Kings’ title success, winning multiple trophies. A two-time Purple Cap winner, his variations and death bowling were central, with best figures of 4-22.

7. Amit Mishra – 173 wickets

Mishra remains one of the IPL’s most successful leg-spinners. He holds the record for most hat-tricks (three) in the competition, with best figures of 5-17 across a long career.

8. Lasith Malinga – 170 wickets

Malinga was central to Mumbai Indians’ five title wins. His best figures of 5-13 and ability at the death, including the final-ball wicket in the 2019 final, define his IPL impact.

9. Jasprit Bumrah – 165 wickets (active)

Rashid has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans, winning the 2022 title with Gujarat. His best figures of 4-24 and consistently low economy rate make him one of the most effective T20 bowlers.
