Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the Proteas’ second Test against Bangladesh having failed to recover from a left elbow injury.
CSA said that while the right-hander has made significant progress in his rehabilitation, he will not be match-ready when the second Test gets underway in Chattogram on Tuesday.
Aiden Markram will continue to lead the Proteas in Bavuma’s absence.
The Proteas won the first Test in Dhaka by seven wickets.
