Last month’s four-match T20I series between the Proteas and India drew record viewership and consumption figures on SuperSport.
According to the latest Nielsen Sports SA viewership data, the 2024 series reached a total unique audience of 1.5-million viewers, a 194% increase compared to the three-match 2023 series between the teams (the first match was abandoned due to rain).
Total consumption across all broadcasts soared to 3.9-million hours – a 341% year-on-year growth.
The best-performing match in 2024 drew a live total unique audience of 655,780, an 86% jump from the most-watched live game in the 2023 series.
Over four matches, SuperSport broadcasted 129 hours of live and secondary coverage, up from two matches and 50 hours in 2023.
